Status of Events During Execution
Q1: What does “status of events during execution” mean?
It refers to the current progress or state of a training event, as a learner progresses through it. This status helps track whether a training is not started, in progress, completed, or in another state.
Q2: Which statuses can training events have during execution?
Training Plans uses the same transcript status nomenclature as Cornerstone OnDemand (CSoD), meaning statuses are consistent between both systems. Events can fall under four major categories:
-
Completed
-
In Progress
-
Not Started
-
Other
Each category includes a range of more detailed statuses (see below for the full list).
Q3: Are sessions treated differently from other training events?
Yes. When a learner is enrolled in a session (or a bundle of sessions), the parent training event “disappears” from the transcript in CSoD. From that point on, CSoD tracks only the session statuses.
However:
-
When data is exported to Training Plans, only the event status is transmitted, not individual session statuses.
-
This means Training Plans will not display or account for incomplete sessions.
-
The event reappears (and becomes visible in TP) only when it changes status and reaches, for example, the “Completed” status.
Q4: Does Training Plans show the same statuses as CSoD?
Yes. Training Plans mirrors the CSoD transcript status system for all events except sessions, which are only visible again when their parent event is completed.
Q5: What are the possible statuses and how are they grouped?

Q6: Summary – What should I remember?
-

-
Only the event status is considered by TP.
-
Understanding status categories helps in interpreting learning progress during execution.
